Privacy Policy

Status Trace is operated by ItsMonkie Limited. We are the data controller for personal data we collect about you as a user of the Service. When you publish a status page, you are the data controller for the subscribers who sign up to receive your notifications, and we act as a processor on your behalf.

• Account data: your email address, your name if you provide it, and the timestamp of your sign-up.
• Marketing consent: if you opt in to product updates, we store the consent flag, the timestamp, and the exact wording of the consent shown to you.
• Usage events: the type of action taken (status page created, incident posted, notification sent, sign-in) so we can understand how the Service is used. We do not collect IP addresses or device fingerprints for analytics.
• Operational logs: short-lived request logs and error traces, retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security.
• Subscriber data (on your behalf): when one of your customers subscribes to your status page, we store their email address, the components they want notifications for, and an unsubscribe token. We process this on your instructions.

• To operate the Service and authenticate you (legitimate interest, contract).
• To send transactional emails like sign-in links and incident notifications (contract).
• To send marketing emails only where you have opted in (consent).
• To detect and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To meet our legal obligations (legal obligation).

We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver transactional and marketing email. Your email address is shared with Resend solely so they can deliver mail on our behalf. Marketing emails always include a one-click unsubscribe link.

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the sub-processors needed to run the Service: our database host (Neon), our application host (Vercel), and our email provider (Resend). We do not enable third-party analytics on user-facing surfaces of the product.

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons (e.g. tax records). Subscriber data is controlled by the status page owner; you can delete subscribers from your dashboard.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, port, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@statustrace.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders.
